ABOUT US
Future of HER is a nonprofit based in Georgia and aims to empower young girls through basketball. The program was created to teach young girls the fundamentals of basketball which instills leadership skills within young women today. The program was founded with the firm belief that sports can mold character and instill confidence. Our goal is to create a safe, supportive space where girls aged 9-13 can learn, grow, and thrive.
To provide young girls with the basics of basketball while building confidence, teamwork, and leadership skills. We are more concerned about helping the kids develop their values beyond the court, creating confident and capable individuals.
All funds support programs and materials that create an impact in the lives of young women to grow into skilled basketball players and self-assured leaders. Our mission is to inspire more girls and young women to take up sports, and to develop their identity and confidence to thrive in life on and off the field.
We visualize a world where every girl feels empowered to chase her dreams, develop her unique strengths, and become a leader in her community.
As a basketball player with experience of over five years, I have seen women face many challenges especially in sports. By creating Future of HER, I dream of a future where every girl is involved as a leader within her community by breaking down barriers, building skills, and showing every girl is capable of preeminence. We strive to provide a program that blends athletic development with life lessons like teamwork, resilience, and self-worth.

Skill Building: From dribbling and shooting to defense and passing, we teach the fundamentals of basketball through engaging drills and hands-on coaching.

Leadership Building: We encourage every girl to step up, speak out, and lead with confidence through group activities and team challenges.

Confidence Beyond the Court: Through our program, girls learn resilience, leadership, teamwork, and perseverance that enable them to tackle challenges.

Low-Cost Fees: We offer training at subsidized rates to ensure no girl misses out on training because of financial constraints.

Aliza Sayani
Founder & Head Coach
Aliza Sayani is a six-year competitive basketball player. Ever since she had picked up a basketball, she had devoted herself to attaining expertise in her skill, studying the game, and growing as a leader both on and off the court. Aliza plays for her Lambert Varsity Basketball team for the past three years and has been a key part of several AAU teams, including Horton, Explosive Elite, and Georgia Queen Elite, since 7th grade. A very hard worker, Aliza believes in the motto "Hard Work Pays Off," and shows it in her performance, leadership, and fight on the court.
Ziya Ukani
Coach
Ziya is a eight-year competitive basketball player. She has played on Brookwood's Varsity team the past two years and has been entrusted to be captain throughout her high school career. She competes with her AAU teams, the Silverbacks and Georgia Queen Elite, which have helped her sharpen her skills and grow into a great leader. On the court or off it in class, Ziya pushes herself to excel and commitment to hard work is reflected in the success of the team and herself. She lives by the motto, "Success isn't given, it's earned," which fuels her drive each and every day.
Nisha Khorasi
Coach
Nisha Khorasi’s basketball journey started 23 years ago and has shaped her life ever since. After playing through high school and college, and overcoming 4 knee surgeries, she learned the value of hard work, perseverance, and resilience.
Today, Nisha mentors the youth and girls' leagues on how to have fun with the game while learning teamwork and sportsmanship. She believes in the motto “A smile is a curve that sets everything straight” which supports her strive to uplift others. She is committed to helping the next generation grow both as athletes and individuals.
